BR Ambedkar grandson lashes out at Centre
Mr Ambedkar was the chief guest for the National level meeting by Rajyanga Parirak-shna Samithi (RPS) here on Tuesday.
ANANTAPUR: Prakash Ambedkar, the grandson of B.R. Ambedkar, on Tuesday called for a fight against the ruling party to protect the Constitution.
Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of planning to changes in the Constitution, Mr Prakash Ambedkar called upon people to be ready for a nation-wide agitation to protect their rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
“The RSS and other organisations had opposed the Consti-tution seven decades ago, but they were now enjoying the positions including the Prime Minister post,” he observed.
Mr Ambedkar was the chief guest for the National level meeting by Rajyanga Parirak-shna Samithi (RPS) here on Tuesday. He observed that the Independence was not a transfer of power from white to black people.
Referring to ongoing agitation for Special Category Sta-tus, he said the Centre should implement all promises which were made during the division of the state. “The Centre must accept SCS demand to avoid unnecessary agitation in AP.”
