Sircilla: Minister K.T. Rama Rao said here on Tuesday, “It is without taking even a single rupee as bribe that the Telangana government is distributing double-bedroom houses to shelterless poor.”
The process is fashioned in a transparent manner, Rama Rao said, as he participated in developmental programmes during a visit to Rajanna Sircilla district.
He took meals along with the beneficiaries after leading the house-warming ceremony for 16 double-bedrooms houses in two blocks at Korutlapeta of Yellareddypet mandal.
The minister said that in a path-breaking step, the state government took up the 2BHK scheme by investing Rs 20,000 crore and constructed 2.7 lakh units.
"These villages have been transformed into models for the nation by way of initiation of programmes under the Palle Pragathi scheme," he said and also listed the schemes taken up for the welfare of the farmers.
Rama Rao said the government had deposited Rs 50,000 crore into the bank accounts of farmers under the Rythu Bandhu scheme. Very soon, the government would sanction ration cards to those who have not received them.

eco-park to attract tourists.
