YSRC meet alerts TD government
Even TD ministers had reacted lightly to the YSRC plenary, its commitments and its impact on public.
Vijayawada: The TD is brainstorming on the nine commitments the YSRC announced at its plenary as these have become hot topics of discussions across the state.
The TD government plans to conduct a survey to understand the level of impact of these commitments on the public. Now, it aims to come up with better strategies to block the YSRC.
TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu is discussing with MPs, ministers and other important leaders on the current political scenario in the state.
According to a TD MP, the YSRC plenary commitments had come up for discussion in the TD parliamentary committee meet chaired by the Chief Minister on Monday.
He said right now they do not consider these commitments as constructive, and it was immature of the YSRC to announce these so early, but would take at least a week to understand the public pulse on the YSRC commitments. Even TD ministers had reacted lightly to the YSRC plenary, its commitments and its impact on public.
Minister Nara Lokesh said the commitments announced by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had already been implemented by the TD government since 2014. He said all the commitments announced were for the YSRC’s political benefits and Mr Prashant Kishor was hired as YSRC’s strategist as Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had no confidence in himself to take forward the YSRC in the state.
A cabinet minister said, “We cannot simply dismiss the YSRC plenary and its commitments as these have become hot topics of discussion among the public. We must take measures accordingly in future, though not right now.”
