Jayasudha says she is waiting to hear back from BJP on possible role

Hyderabad: Actress Jayasudha on Wednesday said that she was waiting to hear of a possible role in the BJP that would offer her the opportunity to work towards strengthening it.

She denied that she said she was not willing to join the BJP. Any reports to that effect were limited to the speculated date of her joining the party. It was expected earlier that she may join along with Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy who is scheduled to join on August 21.

Jayasudha, however, said she made it clear to the party that her possible role should have clarity of purpose. She said she was not interested in contesting elections but would consider being part of the BJP if given a role where she could contribute to the party in changing politics for the better and doing so by working to change the mindset of people, especially the youth. “Even a little change can make a difference,” she said.

 “I like to be a voice for those who are silent, a voice for the voiceless. If it works out it is fine. I know how the system works. I should be happy with what I am doing,” she said.
