We are prepared to prove our majority, says D Jayakumar

Chennai: Asserting that the Edappadi Palaniswami government enjoyed support of a majority of legislators in the Assembly, fisheries minister D. Jayakumar dared DMK working president M. K. Stalin to move the no-confidence motion in the Assembly if he had courage.
“Stalin is nursing a desire to somehow become the Chief Minister. This will never happen. Let him move the no-confidence motion on the floor of the House if he has courage. The government is ready to face it and we will prove our majority in the Assembly House,” Mr. Jayakumar told reporters at the airport here on Sunday.
He was reacting to Stalin, who after meeting the Governor, threatened to take the legal recourse and also approach the people’s court if he failed to direct the State government to prove its majority in the Assembly within a week.
