Telangana Government officials try their luck in polls
This time the trend has increased.
Nizamabad: To test their luck in politics, a section of government officials are resigning from their jobs and joining political parties. the officials are mainly from TS Transco, TSNPDCL and prohibition and excise departments.
Reportedly, government employees-turned-politicians have been approaching the ruling TRS and the Opposition Congress for tickets. It is a common phenomena that a few government employees join political parties during elections. This time the trend has increased.
In Kamareddy district, government engineer Hanmanth Shinde had resigned from his post and was elected as Jukkal MLA twice. In undivided Adilabad district, motor vehicle inspector Shyam Naik fielded his wife Rekha Naik who became MLA in 2014.
Similarly, this time too, a few employees are showing interest for electoral politics due to their financial stability and experience in public life. On the other hand, political parties have also responding positively to encourage Government employees in elections. Social and political equations are helping them to suit in politics.
