Congress activists sought Rahul visit in Maha border segments

NIZAMABAD: Congress activists in the undivided Nizamabad district urged the high command on Sunday to route the Bharat Jodo Yatra of party leader Rahul Gandhi through their respective Assembly constituencies. The yatra will reach the undivided Nizamabad district by the end of October or the first week of November.

According to the tentative schedule, the yatra passes through Jukkal Assembly constituency, but party activists from neighboring constituencies asked for the yatra to enter the neighbouring constituencies as well.

Rahul Gandhi will walk on the Sangareddy-Nanded-Akola (SNA) highway and enter Nanded district of Maharashtra from Kamareddy district of Telangana. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is making arrangements in this regard. However, Congress party activists from Bodhan, Banswada Assembly constituencies urged TPCC treasurer P. Sudarshan Reddy to bring Rahul Gandhi for their constituencies to reach Maharashtra.
