Siddipet: Harish Rao Likens BRS to Pandavas, Congress to Kauravas

Hyderabad: Invoking Mahabharata, Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao termed Congress party as Kauravas who would not win anywhere and the Pandavas who follow Dharma would win in Telangana elections comparing BRS party.

The Minister distributed identity cards for fishermen at a market yard in Siddipet. Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that the Congress party is making false and fake declarations and the ruling BRS party would come to power for third consecutive time and K Chandrasekhar Rao would create history.

"Telangana people are not innocent.It will be a fight between lies and truth. The Telangana people will opt for truth and defeat the Congress party's lies. In the past, it was difficult for fishermen to get membership. But now everyone is happy by getting identity cards," the Minister said.

Harish Rao said that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is the only leader who spent Rs 2000 crore for the welfare of fishermen like nowhere else in the country. Fish used to be imported to the state earlier. But, the situation has changed in Telangana and fishermen are involved in exporting fishes to other places by cultivating fish in the state with the assistance of the government.

"With a number of projects coming into force, plenty of water is available in Telangana and we are supplying water to fish tanks. Fishermen show interest to do their profession of fishing activities after the government provides huge funds. The Telangana fishermen indulged in exporting fishes to Vijayawada, Maharashtra and West Bengal," Harish Rao said.
