Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with YSRC regional coordinators at his Camp Office here on Tuesday. He issued them directions on making bus yatras, beginning on October 26, successful. The bus yatras will go on for two months, during which several impromptu meetings will be held.

The CM has appointed region-wise organisers, who will be responsible for conducting the bus yatra meetings. He also nominated coordinators who will spread the message of social justice achieved through the implementation of various welfare measures.

Stressing that bus yatras and meetings are very important, the Chief Minister underlined that three meetings will be held across the state, one in each region, daily. Local MLAs, party in-charges and SC, ST, BC and minority leaders will address the public meetings.

Jagan Mohan Reddy asked party leaders to decide on venues and dates of public meetings in all constituencies well in advance. The leaders should explain to people the benefits of welfare received by SC, ST, BC and minorities in the last 52 months, apart from achievements like social justice, women empowerment and revolutionary changes brought in the fields of education, medicine and agriculture.

The CM said, “A clear message should be sent out to people through these bus yatra meetings that the forthcoming elections will be a fight between the poor and capitalists.”

The Chief Minister directed the organisers to hold orientation meetings in each constituency to create awareness on the programmes announced at the YSRC delegates’ meeting in Vijayawada on October 9. Volunteers, Gruha Saradhulu, ward committee members, MPTCs, sarpanches and secretariat convenors should participate in these orientation meetings.

Party leaders V. Vijayasai Reddy, P. Mithun Reddy, S. Ramakrishna Reddy, Y.V. Subba Reddy, A. Ayodhya Rami Reddy, P. Ramachandra Reddy, B. Satyanarayana, Ch. Bhaskara Reddy, M. Rajasekhar, A. Amarnath Reddy, Ramasubba Reddy, T. Raghu Ram and L. Appi Reddy were among those who attended the meeting.
