BJP insiders fabricated video to defame me: Aravind Limbavali

Bengaluru: Senior  leader of Bharatiya Janata Party Aravind Limbavali, who has been given a  clean chit by the forensic science laboratory in a sex scandal, claimed on Tuesday that some of his party leaders had fabricated the video presented as evidence of his involvement in it to destroy his political career.

To the embarrassment of the BJP, he claimed in a press release that “party insiders” were jealous of his  growth in the BJP and his closeness to  party national president, Amit Shah, and had  fabricated the video  to finish his political career.

The statement claimed that some leaders in the party were also gunning for him because he was instrumental in bringing the Bharatiya Janata Party government to power in the state and had played a key role in bringing back present Chief Minister, B.S.Yediyurappa into the BJP in 2013.    

“Opponents of Mr. Yediyurappa didn't want him to become Chief Minister, but Mr. Limbavali persuaded the national leadership to take him back into the party, arguing about his importance to it, which did not go down well with his opponents and they nursed a grudge against Limbavali,” said the  statement issued  by the BJP leader's office.
