Tirupati: YSR Congress wing of Chittoor constituency found itself in an embarrassing situation after a woman party worker levelled allegations of inviting her for a personal meet (indirectly referring it as a sexual misconduct) by their Parliamentary in-charge and YSRC senior leader Jangalapalli Srinivasulu.

Sushasini Reddy, who has been working for the party for the past seven years as party’s Seva Dal, had made the allegations during a Press conference held at Chittoor on Monday.

Speaking to mediapersons, she pointed out a finger at senior leader Jangalapalli Srinivasulu and alleged that he was neglecting the women cadre, who has been striving for the party, and was doing favours to people he met personally.

“When I requested Srinivas to refer my name for the post of Town Women’s Division Party in-charge, he told me to come and meet him personally somewhere. I abruptly rejected it and thus they put someone else in the requested post,” she alleged.

In the past, my name was referred for a better post and YSRC legislator Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy also duly signed in the reference letter, but it was later denied and put on hold by Mr Srinivasulu as I didn’t agree to meet him personally, she added.

Sushasini further appealed their party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to look deeper into the party’s functioning at the constituency-level and set things right to minimise the damage to the party’s reputation at the core-level.
