Modi had deprived Kerala of flood funds, reminds Reddy

Reddy said Modi government deprived Kerala of funds from foreign countries including UAE which had offered help in the time of disaster.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI general secretary S. Sudhakar Reddy on Thursday accused the BJP government at the Centre of adopting step motherly attitude towards Kerala in granting funds for post flood rehabilitation.

Mr Reddy said Modi government deprived Kerala of funds from foreign countries including UAE which had offered help in the time of disaster. “Neither they give money themselves nor allow others to contribute,” he said. He was addressing LDF election meeting at Gandhi Park here. He accused the Modi government of misusing CBI, ED and other agencies against political opponents. Mr Reddy said the current election was different. Most top leaders doubt if this would be the last election if Modi came back to power. There are genuine doubts about his future plans.

He urged people to vote against Modi’s demonetization decision which rendered people jobless.
