AP will develop only if Jagan loses, says Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy “is not your Bidda (child) but he is Cancer Gadda (cyst),” one who has become like a cancer and is oppressing the society.
Naidu started his three-day tour of Krishna district here on Wednesday and toured the Eastern parts of the city and mainly the Penamaluru and Pamarru constituencies. He participated in road shows and meetings. The former chief minister was warmly welcomed by the people, youths and party workers at every stop.
Addressing the gatherings, Naidu asked them not to carry the YSRC flag, saying that these destroy the society. “Dump these flags in the Krishna river and instead hold the TD flag,” he said.
Naidu warned, “I will not leave them (YSRC), I will pay them back with interest for all their illegalities and corruption. During Jagan Mohan Reddy's rule, the lives of girls and children were ruined. A Muslim woman who asked for pension was tortured and the police filed a 'reverse' case against her in Vijayawada,” he said.
He deplored that the minority woman could not bear the torture and died of a heart attack.
Naidu warned, “I will not spare any bully who attacks our party office. Isn't public money that is given to volunteers? If you do wrong things, people will defeat the ruling party. Jagan Mohan Reddy is like a cancer to this state. If the cancer lump is not removed, it can spread throughout the body. People are at risk if a person like Jagan Mohan Reddy is not ousted.”
Naidu said Jagan Mohan Reddy is offering people 10 rupees via the welfare schemes and robbing a hundred rupees in return through taxes from each beneficiary of his welfare schemes. “AP state would be developed only if Jagan Mohan Reddy loses the next polls. Referring to some statements of Telangana leaders against AP, Naidu said “the people from other states are making fun of Telugus.”
He said the case of YSRC leader Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy’s murder took many turns day-by-day, citing the cause of the death as a heart attack, hypertension and something else. “Rowdyism will not be allowed in Vijayawada,” Naidu said and declared, “I will cut the tail of the rowdies.”
Naidu said the attitude of the police was objectionable. “They are carrying out attacks on women who question them, and the police are filing cases against me also. I have nothing to fear. I always speak politely. We will not leave the attackers. We will pay them back with interest."
Some 1,000 YSRC "leaders and supporters" joined the TD at the event. Naidu welcomed them into the party. YSRC BC Cell state secretary Gogula Ramesh Yadav, 17 leaders and more than 1,000 followers joined the Telugu Desam under the leadership of MLA Gadde Rammohan, who gave a warm welcome to Chandrababu at Ranigarithota in Krishna Lanka.
