Ex-MLA calls for another movement in TS to oust BRS

 KARIMNAGAR: The BRS government has ignored activists of the Telangana movement who played a key role in achieving statehood, alleged former MLA Ch. Vijaya Ramana Rao.

Ramana Rao, who felicitated as many as 150 activists of the Telangana movement at a programme held in Peddapalli on Sunday.

Hundreds of activists of Telangana took the movement deep into the masses by losing valuable time, facing a lot of hardships and sacrificing many things and facing a lot of hardships. But Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his MLAs are showing discrimination against them, he alleged.

He promised that after forming the government, the Congress will definitely recognise the efforts of the activists and will implement welfare schemes on the lines of schemes provided in Jharkhand state.

Priyanka Gandhi, at the recent Yuva Garjana Sabha, promised that the Congress government will allot a job to the next to the kin of Telangana martyrs’ families, apart from an honorarium of Rs 25,000, he noted.

Ramana Rao alleged that Peddapalli BRS MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy did not have any connection with the Telangana movement at all. “But he became MLA with pelf. Now he is going to invest all the illegally amassed money in the election campaign to win again,” he alleged.

He called upon the Telangana activists to take up another movement to dethrone the “corrupt BRS MLAs” and give power to the Congress which gave
separate Telangana state, he appealed.
