TD to Launch Special Campaign on Maha Sakthi Welfare Scheme
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the party would launch a special campaign on the Maha Sakthi welfare scheme that was announced in the party's mini-manifesto at its annual meet.
Under this, women leaders and cadres will conduct extensive campaigns through buses and cars and do door-to-door interaction with families for 50 days. “We are working on a full-scale manifesto for the 2024 polls to serve the public in all aspects. TD will release the manifesto during the Dasara festival,” Naidu said.
Meeting the mediapersons at his residence in Undavalli, Naidu said, "After coming back to power, we will overcome all the challenges and create assets for the welfare of the people and the state. When entire Tamil Nadu got united in the name of Jallikattu, can’t we, the people of Andhra Pradesh, stood as one for the welfare and progress of the state,” he asked.
He said the Maha Sakthi scheme announced by his party would result in radical changes in the lifestyle of women. This and other schemes announced at Mahanadu in the name of 'Bhavisyathuku Guarantee' would be implemented with “all seriousness.”
The TD chief said, "TD leaders are on a bus yatra to take the schemes to the people. We are planning a special campaign on the women's welfare programmes. The details will be announced on July 14."
He alleged that Andhra Pradesh has fallen a victim to the “indiscreet decisions” of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government. “The Chief Minister has destroyed the Polavaram project and Amaravati.”
Pointing out that the Supreme Court has adjourned the capital case to December, Naidu expressed doubts when the final judgement would be delivered.
Chandrababu affirmed that the TD will not allow any political interference of the Volunteers but will not object to their services.
