KT Rama Rao cheers for Maharashtrians
He urged the Maratha community to collaborate with the government for skill development programmes.
Hyderabad: Maharashtra may be the Janam Bhoomi (birth place) but Hyderabad is the Karma Bhoomi, said caretaker Minister KT Rama Rao while addressing a Maratha community meeting in Hyderabad on Sunday.
He noted that Maharashtrians were part of the erstwhile Hyderabad. He said, “Hyderabad is mini India and welcomes people of all regions. Maharashtrians remind us of the courageous and brave Shivaji Maharaj, Balgangadhar Tilak, Baba Saheb B.R. Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule who are not just Maharashtrians but Indians.”
He urged the Maratha community to collaborate with the government for skill development programmes.
He added that in Telangana, Maharashtrians are not just a small group of businessmen but a community which contributed to society.
Mr Rama Rao reminisced on how his grandfather was treated by a senior doctor, Dr Arungabadkar.
The caretaker minister noted that several issues which were haunting people have been cleared after K. Chandrashekar Rao become Chief Minister
Mr Rama Rao concluded his speech by saying, “Jai Bhavani, Jai Telangana, Jai Maharashtra, Jai Hind.”
