HYDERABAD: Madhuranagar police on Monday booked BRS leader Vijaya Simha for threatening Rehmatnagar GHMC corporator C.N. Reddy on December 3. The corporator had petitioned a court stating that his life was under threat from Simha for defecting from the BRS to the Congress.

Based on a court order, the police recorded Reddy’s complaint and registered a case of criminal intimidation, said Madhuranagar sub-inspector Shaik Iqbal Hussain.

Police should conduct a full investigation and take appropriate action against Vijay Simha as he has been targeting Congress workers, Reddy said in an appeal to the city police commissioner.
