Karimnagar: Members of the TS Commission for Backward Classes are facing stiff opposition from BJP activists during their visits to study the socioeconomic condition of Muslim Minorities.

BJP activists alleged that the TRS government was preparing the ground through the BC panel to provide 12 per cent reservations to Muslims, one of its poll promises.

It is learnt that the party has decided to oppose the BC panel during its visits to North Telangana districts.

Party leaders argue that the Constitution bars giving reservations on the basis of religion.
