Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy suggested the Union government to give equal importance to all states in the country.
He told reporters here at Peddapuram on Saturday that it was not proper that some states were being developed while some others were lagging behind in development. He said that due to such neglect the developing West Pakistan and East Pakistan were chopped and Bangladesh formed.
“If North India is developed and South India is neglected, we can’t tell what will happen to India in future,’’ he said and added that the Telugu Desam had thought that if the party supports the BJP under the leadership of Mr Narendra Modi, more funds can be released.
