AICC observer forging consensus among leaders who applied for party tickets
Adilabad: AICC observer for the Adilabad parliament constituency, Prakash Rathod, visited a few assembly segments and interacted with the leaders who applied for party tickets.
He collected opinions from the mandal-level leaders in Mudhole, Nirmal and Khanapur on Tuesday.
During the meeting in Mudhole, NRI Vijaykumar Reddy who applied for the ticket from there, alleged that BRS top leadership joined some of it's leaders into Congress party to damage the Congress party's winning prospects. His remarks caused a furore at the meeting and leaders who recently joined the Congress raised objections to his remark.
The AICC observer was trying to settle the differences among the ticket aspirants and leaders, if any, in the assembly segment level itself and forge consensus among the leaders who applied for party tickets. He said “all the leaders should extend their support to whoever gets the party ticket.”
Bharath Chowhan, who applied for the party ticket from Khanapur, said the AICC observer personally interacted with the ticket-aspirants and collected their opinions on the party’s winning chances. The AICC observer would present the collected information before the screening committee and the central election committee, he noted.
Prakash Rathod would interact with the leaders and ticket aspirants in Asifabad and Sirpur (T) assembly segments on Sept 13 and in Adilabad and Boath constituencies the next day.
