Vizag to be executive capital even if our heads are cut off: Sidiri
Vishakapatnam: Animal husbandry minister Seediri Appalaraju declared that even if their heads are cut off, they will ensure that Visakhapatnam becomes the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he declared, “We will not tolerate anyone who obstructs the development of our region. We will trample them. Telugu Desam leaders are hurting the aspirations of Uttarandhra people,” the minister stated.
Appalaraju said what people of north Andhra could do will be known when the Visakha Garjana programme is organised on October 15.
Responding to Daspalla lands, he said the High Court as well as the Supreme Court have ruled that Daspalla are private lands. He asked what can the government do after the court has given a clear verdict on those lands.
The minister pointed out that the government had even filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court. However, the Supreme Court again ruled that it was private land. A curative petition also went in favour of the private party. At one stage, contempt proceedings of the court had been handed over to the government.
Appalaraju underlined that given such a situation, the government could do nothing but hand over those lands to the respective private owners. He maintained that it is up to the private individuals to take a decision on who they decide to take in as a developer.
The minister asserted that the government has nothing to do with what a private party does.
