BJP won't join hands unless TRS proves strength on floor
As per a PTI report, Telangana BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said that the party would not extend its support to the TRS post the elections.
Hyderabad: The BJP on Monday asserted that it would not join hands with the TRS if the latter fell short of numbers to form government after the Assembly elections, rejecting the charges of Congress that the two parties are hand-in-glove.
As per a PTI report, Telangana BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said that the party would not extend its support to the TRS post the elections and also challenged the Congress to give a similar guarantee. He said “I have a challenge for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and the AICC President Rahul Gandhi. Will they both guarantee the people of Telangana that if K. Chandrasekhar Rao falls short of winning that the Congress will not help? We can assure that we will not join hands with TRS, even if they fall short the BJP will not form the government with TRS.”
When this newspaper asked former MLA N.V.S.S. Prabhakarm he said, “We don’t need to support TRS or any other party, as we are confident enough that the BJP will form the government soon after the polls.”
