Tirupati: A social media activist of the YSRC, identified as Naveen Kumar Raju, was taken into custody by the police in Punganur town of Chittoor district late on Sunday, after he allegedly posted derogatory comments against the TD government on Facebook, showing Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in bad light on social media.
According to his Facebook page titled ‘Naveen Kumar Raju’, which has 4,513 followers, he pointed out the spelling mistake in Telugu language which was imprinted on the poster titled ‘Social Media Summit and Awards, Amaravati 2018’ that has the Chief Minister’s portrait on it.
He also criticised Mr Naidu for meeting various political leaders of national parties and posted some matter on his wall that reads in Telugu, ‘CBN went to meet many Opposition leaders but none came to meet him’.
Naveen also mentioned the rise in attacks on women in the state in one of his posts and dragged Mr Srinivasa Rao’s name on his FB post, by criticising him over the clean chit given by the Special Investigation team.
