Modi launches 7 projects worth Rs 10,742 crore

VISAKHAPATNAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched seven projects worth Rs 10,742 crore at a public meeting here on Saturday.
He inaugurated the upgradation of Pathapatnam to Narasannapet road in Srikakulam district being developed at a cost of Rs 211 crore. Other projects opened include ONGC-U field onshore deep water block project worth Rs 2,917 crore.
The PM also laid the foundation stone for multiple projects worth over Rs 7,614 crore.
These are, among others, renovation of Visakhapatnam Railway Station at a cost of Rs 456 crore, construction of six-lane Greenfield Visakhapatnam-Raipur Economic Corridor costing Rs 3,778 crore, improvement of the Port Road between Sheelanagar and Convent Junction at an expenditure of Rs 566 crore, upgradation and modernisation of Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour spending Rs 152 crore and GAIL Natural Gas Pipeline Project from Srikakulam to Angul worth Rs 2,658 crore.
