Visakhapatnam: Regional coordinator of YSRC for north Andhra, Y.V. Subba Reddy, said changing constituency in-charges and coordinators were aimed at a good show for the party in the coming elections.

Speaking to the media in Chodavaram before the start of the Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra public meeting on Tuesday, Subba Reddy said chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was aiming at winning all the 175 constituencies in the assembly polls.

“Hence, he thought of putting horses that are sure to win the elections.” Subba Reddy said the party high command would appoint a new coordinator for Gajuwaka and this was conveyed to MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy two weeks ago.

“Today Nagi Reddy and his son Devan Reddy came to me and promised their full loyalty to the chief minister and the YSRC party. They understood the importance of the changes in the interest of the party,’’ Subba Reddy said.

Subba Reddy said more changes were in the offing in the run-up to the general elections. When asked about rumors that many from the YSRC might join opposition parties after the conclusion of Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam on Dec 20, Subba Reddy said the Yuvagalam was a failure and talk of some leaders quitting the YSRC was a mere rumour floated by the opposition parties.
