People upset with Cong govt's performance: Ananth Kumar Hegde
Mr Hegde also claimed the Congress fought elections on the basis of caste
Belagavi: Union Minister for Skill Development, Ananth Kumar Hegde on Tuesday said it was necessary to shut down Congress president, Rahul Gandhi's “drama company” and throw out the Siddaramaiah government, which, he claimed had failed in all areas.
“The people in the state are insecure under the Congress and are upset with its pathetic performance. They need to take a serious decision on ousting the government,” he added, addressing a BJP convention in Khanapur.
The Minister, who has a reputation for raking up controversies, said although many Hindu activists were killed in the state, they got no justice and incidents of rape, kidnap and assault on officials were rising without fear of the police or any kind of authority.
Mr Hegde also claimed the Congress fought elections on the basis of caste, religion and money, but the Bharatiya Janata Party fought them on issues of nationalism and development. “The BJP always has a definite objective in the larger interests of the country when it contests the polls,” he asserted.
Reassuring party workers that loyal and hardworking leaders would be given BJP tickets for the coming Assembly elections, he appealed to them not to waste time on such matters and instead work for the party's victory in the state.
