Rajahmundry TD unit’s plea to nominate Ganni Krishna for LS

Candidature of Adireddy Bhavani from Rajahmundry Urban Assembly segment is confirmed.

Rajahmundry: Telugu Desam city unit has passed a resolution asking party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu to nominate party senior leader and Godavari Urban Development Authority chairman Ganni Krishna to Rajahmundry Lok Sabha to contest in the ensuing polls.

At a meeting held here on Wednesday, the party leaders and supporters said that as their leader Ganni Krishna was with the party, ever since its formation, and was continuing as its member loyally with commitment and discipline, he deserved to be nominated to contest from the Lok Sabha segment.

The leaders also appreciated Ganni Krishna for accepting any responsibility given by the party leadership and fulfilling it, without raising any qualms.

TD senior leader and Deputy Mayor Vasireddy Rambabu proposed that their leader Ganni Krishna be nominated to contest from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha segment while passing a resolution and it was supported by party corporators and leaders unanimously.

On the other hand, International Paper Mill Workers’ union leaders Chitturi Praveen Choudhary and others told mediapersons at a separate meeting that as their union members live in several areas such as Rajahmundry Urban and Rural Assembly segment and also in Rajanagaram segment, they would reach out to the people to convince them to support their leader Ganni Krishna and also move to other Assembly segments falling under Rajahmundry Lok Sabha segment to canvass for their leader, to ensure his victory in the polls for sure.

Meanwhile, TD camp, headed by Adireddy Appa Rao, was celebrating the confirmation of candidature of Adireddy Bhavani from Rajahmundry Urban Assembly segment by the party leadership and several party leaders reached Rao’s home and congratulated her. She is the daughter-in-law of Appa Rao.

As the sitting TD MP and film actor M. Murali Mohan expressed unwillingness for some reasons to contest again from the same segment, several TD leaders have been trying their best get a chance to contest from the segment.
