Former BRS leaders predict fall of Telangana government
Hyderabad: Former BRS leader Jupally Krishna Rao on Sunday held an Atmeeya Sammelanam with his supporters in Wanaparthy which was attended by former BRS MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Both of them were suspended last month for indulging in alleged anti-party activities.
Addressing their supporters, they said that the countdown for the exit of BRS government in Telangana state has begun. People were eager to dethrone Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao from power in the next Assembly elections.
Srinivas Reddy stated that their sammelanams were evoking good response not just from local leaders of various parties but also from the people.
Krishna Rao said that the people were fed up with the large-scale corruption by the BRS government.
Meanwhile, both were tight-lipped about their future course of action. Speculations doing the rounds indicate that they are likely to join the BJP or the Congress. But after the Congress victory in Karnataka, many feel that the two may head to Congress.
