Hyderabad: Telugu Desam National president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told TS TD leaders on Monday that the TRS government was misleading people on sharing of river waters, irrigation projects, High Court bifurcation and other issues.

He asserted that he was only seeking implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act on all these issues. “TRS is trying to take political advantage by blaming AP on every issue. I am ready for bifurcation of the High Court. AP can’t do it by itself. We need support of the Central government. Sharing of river waters and construction of irrigation projects should be done as per the Reorganisation Act,” he reportedly told the party’s TS leaders.

Mr Naidu convened a meeting with TS TD president L. Ramana, working president A. Revanth Reddy, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, E. Peddireddy and other senior party leaders at the Lake View Guesthouse here and discussed steps to strengthen the party in TS and raising public issues.

The TD leaders explained to him the present political scenarios, continuing defections from Congress, attempts by the TRS government to pin the blame on AP over stalling irrigation and other projects, High Court bifurcation etc.

Asking TD leaders not to be disheartened, Mr Naidu asked them to take up public and other issues that help strengthen the party in Telangana.
