Hyderabad: Telangana state BJP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday declared that as many as 25 MLAs from the BRS were in touch with the BJP and dismissed comments by BRS working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao that several BJP corporators were in touch with the BRS.

Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the BJP office in Qutbullapur constituency set up by former MLA Koona Srisailam Goud, Sanjay Kumar said Rama Rao’s comments tried to spread confusion among BJP workers in the city but he would do well to know that many BRS leaders were in touch with the BJP.

Sanjay Kumar also took aim at Dharani portal saying if all the land registration victims of the portal were to be gathered in one place, it would result in a huge public meeting. “The Dharani portal benefited only KCR and his family. The portal was launched only to regularize all the land grabbed by them,” he said.

He also mocked elected Congress leaders calling them “post-paid leaders” and those yet to win elections as “pre-paid” leaders, adding that the Congress as down in dumps. “The BJP is fighting to defeat the KCR government, and people who have given all parties opportunities earlier, should give one chance to the BJP,” he said.

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said ‘the KCR government is drowning in corruption and people are ready to throw the current government out in the next elections. The KCR family is conducting liquor business and has spread its tentacles from Hyderabad to Delhi and to Punjab.”

Senior party leader and Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman said while the Congress ran an 85 per cent commission government, the BRS has been running a 30 per cent commission government which Chandrashekar Rao has admitted when speaking about Dalit Bandhu scheme. Only the Narendra Modi government is a zero per cent commission government.
