ADILABAD: With elections round the corner in Telangana, Congress, BRS, and BJP in erstwhile Adilabad district are focusing on enrolling youth into their parties, apart from poaching cadres of opponent parties.

Leaders aspiring for party tickets are considering youth to be fresh blood for party activities and to manage social media in their respective constituencies. They feel the presence of youth will definitely provide additional advantages for the party as well as themselves.

It is quite surprising that BRS and BJP parties are competing with each other in luring new cadres, particularly youth, and second-rung leaders of the opponent party. Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy and former Nirmal MLA and BJP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy are active in this regard.

Leaders have been regularly joining major political parties, including Congress, BRS, and BJP in Nirmal, Adilabad, Mancherial, and Kagaznagar constituencies.
With elections approaching fast, former MLC K. Premsagar Rao and DCC president Kokkirala Surekha are focusing on enrolling youth to strengthen the Congress party in the Mancherial district.

Youth Congress Adilabad district president Charan Goud said youth, especially educated ones, will play a positive role in party activities. He said a large number of youth, who have completed 18 years, have enrolled as voters. Their role will be vital for all political parties in the next assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
