PM Modi Accuses I.N.D.I.A. of Hidden Agenda Against Sanatan Dharma

BHOPAL: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday saw a “sinister design” in the INDIA alliance’s “hidden agenda” to destroy “Sanatan Dharma”, the culture and faith that had united the people of this land for thousands of years.

Laying the foundation for a refinery expansion facility and 10 other projects worth Rs 50,700 crores at Bina in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Modi launched a broadside against the INDIA bloc, calling it “ghamandia” (arrogant) alliance which has no policies, issues or a leader.

“INDIA alliance leaders met in Mumbai recently. They neither have policies, or issues nor a leader. They have set a sinister hidden agenda to attack Sanatan Dharma, the foundation of India’s faith and culture. They want to erase Sanatan Dharma which inspired Swami Vivekananda to awaken the world and our freedom fighters to wish a rebirth in India when they were being hanged (by the British)”, Mr Modi said.

Mr Modi’s remarks come in the wake of Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin’scall to eradicate Sanatan Dharma, likening it with dreaded diseases like Covid-19 and dengue.

“The INDIA alliance wants to destroy Sanatan Dharma. Today, they have started openly denouncing Sanatan Dharma. Tomorrow, they will increase attacks on us. All the ‘Sanatanis’ and the people who love the country need to be vigilant against them and we should unite to stop them and foil their designs”, Mr Modi said.

“Some parties want to divide society and the country for power”, he added.

He described BJP as a patriotic party and said that BJP governments were sensitive to the causes of the people.

The Centre had provided free vaccines to people of the country during the Covid-19 pandemic, besides making provision of free rations to over 80 crore people to ensure that they did not starve during the period, he said.

Mr Modi highlighted the success of the G-20 summit and said that India’s image got a huge boost at the international level following this. He said that the foreign guests who had attended G-20 programmes have said that they have never seen such arrangements before.

The success of the G-20 summit was a demonstration of India’s collective power, and he said: “All the credit goes, not to Modi, but to all the 140 crore people of the country”.

Targeting the Congress, he said Madhya Pradesh had the identity of a laggard state with bad road conditions, lack of electricity and drinking water when the Congress had ruled the state.

“The Congress rule had given Madhya Pradesh nothing but corruption and crimes. The investors used to shy away from MP due to the law and order situation”, he said.

BJP rule has brought development and transformation in Madhya Pradesh, he added. The PM said the Bina refinery petro complex project would help make India self-reliant in petrochemical products, saving the country precious foreign exchange reserves, besides generating large-scale employment for the youth.

Later, dedicating to the nation railway projects worth over Rs 6,000 crores at Kodatarai in Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh, Mr Modi launched a blistering attack against the Bhupesh Baghel government, saying that it was now identified with scandals and false propaganda on development.

He said that Chhattisgarh has been pushed to backwardness after the Congress came to power in the state.

Mr Modi attacked the state government for blocking major Central schemes such as the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, denying the poor the opportunity to have their own houses in the process.

He said that BJP would alone ensure development of the state and called upon people to return the party to power in the year-end Assembly elections.
