Telangana 'number one' in all sectors, claims Kavitha
Hyderabad: Telangana as a state is “number one” in all sectors because of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s governance, BRS leader K Kavitha has claimed.
“In the past, we read ‘KCR’ to mean Kalvalu, Cheruvulu and Reservoirs. The term actually means a Kind-hearted, Committed and Responsible leader,” she claimed while addressing party workers in Jagtial district on Wednesday.
Kavitha sharply criticised Congress leaders. “Without formulating its stand on the Women’s reservation bill in parliament, how can the Congress leadership expect to make any gains in Telangana state,” she asked.
She said, “While the Congress is not implementing the promises it made in the states where it is in power, it is promising the people of Telangana that it would “double” the number of schemes the BRS government is implementing here if it wins power,” she said.
Kavitha claimed that Rahul Gandhi is an “out-dated” leader who did not have any knowledge about the present state of the nation. “He is not able to catch up with the speed of chief minister KCR and he is not able to challenge PM Modi at the Centre,” she said.
She also claimed that the BRS was the only party that could be an alternative to the Congress at the Centre.
She said the Congress party was trying to deceive the people of Telangana. “Recently, Congress leaders visited Telangana and promised the people that their government would distribute podu land pattas. They are unaware of the fact that the BRS government has already distributed them.”
Whatever gimmicks and tricks the Congress party leaders played, the people of Telangana would not believe them and would teach them a fitting lesson in the coming assembly elections, she added.
Minister Koppula Eswhar, Zilla Parishad chairperson Dava Vasantha, MLA Sanjay Kumar, MLC Ramana and district BRS president Vidyasagar Rao were present.
