BRS focusing on tough assembly constituencies, doing flash surveys

Adilabad: The BRS party’s top leadership is focusing on the assembly constituencies where the party candidates faced a tough situation in the erstwhile Adilabad district in particular and the state in general.

Special surveys are being conducted in such seats to identify the positives and negatives of the candidates and work out plans to turn the tide in favour of the ruling party.

Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao would attend two public meetings each in such constituencies while minister Rama Rao would participate in road shows.

The party high command is asking the leaders to jointly participate in the election campaign in the assembly constituencies and hold press meets to send a strong message to the people that they stand united.

Former MLA Gaddam Aravind, who was denied the party ticket, extended his support to the BRS nominee, Diwakar Rao, in Mancherial constituency.

Aravind Reddy appealed to the people of the Mancherial to elect Diwakar Rao and said the Signareni workers benefited from the BRS government. Signareni workers got a 16 per cent bonus as a share of the SCCL’s profit in 2014 and 32 per cent in 2023, he pointed out.

Aravind Reddy had earlier demanded the party high command to change the party candidate and replace him with a BC candidate since the BC's population is high in Mancherial.

The BRS party high command is seeking to settle the disputes among party leaders and ticket aspirants and those are not cooperating with the party candidates in a few constituencies.

In the last three days, party working president KTR settled the disputes among the BRS leaders in Mudhole and Boath and monitored the situation in Khanapur constituency.

The party high command is closely watching the situation in Nirmal where KTR recently addressed a public meeting. Flash surveys are being conducted on behalf of the party in the assembly constituencies where BRS party and candidates are not well-placed, a senior leader said.

Two days ago, KTR met former Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, party candidate Anil Jadhav and other local leaders of Boath. He reportedly promised the MLC post to Godam Nagesh, who was an aspirant for the MLA ticket this time.

KTR also met leaders of Mudhole and settled the differences that cropped up among the BRS leaders.
