Shuhaib killers were on parole: Ramesh Chennithala
The opposition leader slammed the police saying that the law enforcing agency is in the dark even after a day of the murder.
Kannur: The killers involved in the murder of Youth Congress leader S.P Shuhaib included those who were on parole, alleged opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. He was speaking after inaugurating the 24-hour hunger strike of DCC president Satheeshan Pacheni here on Wednesday.
"Nothing untoward had happened in the Edayannur area which led to the killing of Shuhaib. He just upheld the political freedom of the party he believed. CPM's killer gang was following him since the past one week. What crime did the innocent youth commit? The Chief Minister should answer this," said Mr Chennithala.
The opposition leader slammed the police saying that the law enforcing agency is in the dark even after a day of the murder.
"The police chief says that no culprit has been nabbed. It seems they are waiting for the fake culprits to be produced from CPM office," he said.
Referring to the political clashes at Orkatteri near Vadakara, Ramesh Chennithala alleged that CPM is gearing up to make Malabar a blood spilling place.
"As many as 21 murders were committed after the Left government assumed charge. There is no law and order in the state," he said. K.C Venugopal, MP, also spoke.
