Visakhapatnam: Brother Anil Kumar, brother-in-law of Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, held a meeting with leaders of BC groups, Christian missionaries and representatives of various minority groups in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

The discussion veered round state politics and the role they could play.

Later, talking to the media, evangelist Anil Kumar said the minorities and BCs worked hard for the YSRC to gain power in the state, but they are not happy with the YSRC government. “These groups are facing difficulties and feel they are not getting governmental support.”

The Christian groups therefore want to launch an alternative political party and make one BC leader the chief minister, he said.

“I will have to support them if they take such a decision. They supported the YSRC because they had faith in me,’’ Anil Kumar said.

Answering a question, he said there was no need for him to meet the chief minister to explain to him the dissatisfaction of these groups. “May be I will write a letter to the chief minister,’’ Brother Anil Kumar said.

Speaking about the alleged conspiracy behind the murder of Vivekananda Reddy, he said the guilty cannot escape from the arms of the law. “However, the CBI is investigating the case and this is not a small issue,” he said.
