T Harish Rao's assets grew 6.5 times in 4 years

Harish declares Rs 3.46 crore non-movable properties.

Hyderabad: The investment of caretaker minister Thanneru Harish Rao in property - land and jewellery — grew from Rs 45 lakh in 2014 to Rs 3.46 crore in 2018, according to the nomination papers he filed for the Siddipet Assembly constituency on Wednesday.

In the 19-page affidavit, Mr Harish Rao declared movable assets worth Rs 1 crore and non-movable properties valued at Rs 3.46 crore. The total assets own by him is around Rs 3.90 crore, as per the papers filed. 

He identified himself as an agriculturalist and showed Rs 1.26 lakh as net income from his field produce. For the financial year 2017-18, he had paid an income-tax of Rs 19.13 lakh, mr Harish Rao stated in his affidavit.

In the four-and-a-half years after the 2014 elections, Mr Harish Rao said he had mostly invested in non-agricultural land to the tune of Rs 3 crore. The outstanding dues to the bank was around Rs 25 lakh. 

Mr Harish Rao who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kakatiya university has three criminal cases pending against him according to his papers. He has not been convicted for any offence.
