Hyderabad: The political slugfest between the BRS and Congress has intensified in the Mulugu after MLA Seethakka alleged that BRS leaders were distributing fake notes and illicit liquor to lure the voters in the constituency Assembly elections.

In reaction to that, MLC and Mulugu BRS incharge Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, at a press meet in Hanamkonda on Tuesday, dared the Congress MLA to prove her allegations against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and ministers K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao true. In case she fails to do so, he demanded ECI and the excise department to initiate a suo motu action against her for violating the poll code.

The BRS MLC alleged that Seethakka had already received more than Rs.100 crores of money from TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy and Congress leaders of Karnataka and Chhattisgarh states to distribute to the voters in Mulugu.

To explain away her mistakes, Seethakka, at the behest of Revanth Reddy, was trying to drag the ruling party into unnecessary matters and making baseless allegations against BRS top brasses.

The MLA had amassed a lot of money in the name of charity works during the Covid-19 pandemic, he alleged.

Stating that he was ready to take a narco-analysis test, Srinivas Reddy challenged Seethakka for an open debate in the heart of Mulugu town on her allegations that he was a binami of KCR and KTR.
