No liquor sale for two days near Telangana border

Kurnool: Kurnool district collector G. Srijana has issued orders closing all wine and toddy shops, apart from bars, in Kurnool district within a radius of five kilometres from the Telangana border following elections in the neighbouring state on November 30.

This ban on sale of liquor will be effective from 5 p.m. on November 28 to 5 p.m. on November 30. Further, these establishments will remain closed on December 3 too in connection with the counting of votes polled in Telangana, the collector underlined.
