BJP asks Kerala DGP Loknath Behera to book Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP Thiruvananthapuram district president S. Suresh has asked DGP Loknath Behera to book CPM secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for making "anti-national comments."
Mr Balakrishnan had the other day accused India of joining the US-Japan-Australia axis to corner China.
The BJP found it a serious issue as it came immediately after the Army chief General Bipin Rawat said India was facing the maximum threats from China.
"The CPM leader's statement is a threat to the integrity of the country," he said.
"He's a former home minister, and a sitting legislator, who have constitutional roles. It increases the seriousness of the issue. I have sought the DGP's intervention against the treason."
In his letter to the DGP, he said that "there's a hunch" that CPM was getting help from China which is a threat to the security of the country.
