Puducherry: Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and his ministerial colleagues intensified their protest outside the Raj Nivas on the third day on Friday against Lt Governor Kiran Bedi’s alleged authoritarian way of functioning. All India Congress Committee secretary Sanjay Dutt called on Mr Narayanasamy.

“After its failure to hijack power in the Union Territory, the BJP led-government is using Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi as a tool to undermine the Cabinet.

None of the Governors or Lieutenant Governors have indulged in activities such as conducting review meetings with officials and  compelling people to wear helmets and issuing challans to them,” Mr Dutt said.

“Kiran Bedi is deliberately creating trouble for the elected government and acting like a BJP agent.”
