Bargarh: All-India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi on Friday slammed Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rising unemployment and their “utter failure” to create job opportunities to youths.

“Has Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik done anything for the unemployed youths in the state? Can anyone present here say that Naveen Patnaik or Narendra Modi gave them employment? Unfortunately, Modiji indulged in corruption and gave Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani,” he said while addressing an election rally in Odisha’s Bargarh.

Mr Rahul Gandhi said that Modi talked about farmers in every meeting but does not waive farm loans.

“He only waives loans of rich businessmen,” the Gandhi scion alleged. “The Congress governments Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh waived loans immediately after they assumed power. We will do the same in Odisha,” Mr Rahul Gandhi said.
