Thanjavur: The MDMK general secretary, Mr. Vaiko appealed to the youth in the state to intensify agitation against proposed projects like Methane and hydrocarbon extractions etc. in Cauvery delta.

He alleged that Central government was bent upon converting Cauvery delta into a desert. P. Nedumaran of ‘Ulaga Thamizhar Peramaippu’, T.T.V. Dhinkaran, deputy general secretary of Amma Makal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) and C. Mahendran, National administrative committee member of CPI, participated in the function.
