D KSuresh to DK Shivakumar fans: Don’t come to Delhi
In a release, Mr Suresh thanked the supporters for showering love on them, but asked them to stay back.
Bengaluru: Even while fighting a legal battle for the release of his brother and Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar from the ED custody, Bengaluru Rural MP D.K. Suresh has appealed to their followers not to visit Delhi during the court hearings. Though Mr Suresh said that people gathering near the court would create administrative problems, sources said the presence of their followers in large numbers and the publicity they were garnering, were adversely affecting the case as the investigating agency too is reportedly annoyed over this.
In a release, Mr Suresh thanked the supporters for showering love on them, but asked them to stay back. Stating that it was the duty of citizens to respect the judiciary, he said he expected fans to help in the smooth functioning of the judiciary. During the court hearing on Friday, many had gathered near the court in Delhi. “Mr Shivakumar himself had to come out and ask them to return,” he added.
