Hyderabad: AICC media department chairman Pawan Khera on Saturday said hit out at BRS MLC K. Kavitha’s criticism of his party, saying she look into the unfulfilled promises made by the BRS government.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Hyderabad, Khera said, "Post Bharat Jodo yatra (BJY), the BJP is in confusion as discussion on people’s issues is not in their syllabus. This is out of their curriculum. Modi and Shah have been forced to respond on issues.”

“The agenda will be determined by the people not from Nagpur now,” he said, referring to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

“Earlier the BJP would bring up one make-believe controversy after the other. BJY also addressed the complaint of the media that we are not on the streets. In the last one year, another historic election took place. Mallikarjun Kharge became party president. No other party has had an election like that, and democratically chosen its chief. When we meet (CWC), everybody's free to deliberate on the issues. We will ensure all our deliberations are conveyed to the nation, he said.

On the question of the party banning some news anchors by the Congress, Khera said, "The anchors were not banned by us. We are just not becoming a party to sharing the hate agenda that they are spreading. They have the freedom to spread hatred. If they change their ways we will cooperate with them again. The parties in the I.N.D.I.A. alliance are together in this decision. "

The BJP which does not desist from encashing on the sacrifices of soldiers has given a clean chit to China on its encroachment of our land, he said. “The veterans of the army are standing with us. Their own Mohan Bhagwat (RSS Sarsanghchalak) has found fault with sanatana dharma and acknowledged that there was discrimination for 2,000 years in the country,” he said.

The issue of one nation one poll was brought into the picture when there were new revelations on irregularities in Gautam Adani’s businesses. When the BJP brings up a new agenda, the media should check if there is something happening with regard to Chinese incursions or if Jay Shah (Union home minister Amit Shah’s son) is involved in something, he said.
