The YSRC leaders said that they are still trying to obtain permission, but would go ahead if the TD government refuses to accord it.
Amaravati: The YSRC leaders worried over the denial of permission for the party’s public meeting to be presided over by party president, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at Narasaraopeta on December 16.
The situation in Narasaraopeta has become tense due to the denial of permission for the public meeting in which Kasu Mahesh Reddy, of the prominent political family will join the YSRC along with his followers.
Narasaraopeta MLA G. Srinivas Reddy and other leaders claim that earlier, the police did not object to public meetings of Telugu Desam, Congress and other political parties at Palnadu Road but has now refused permission for Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public meeting. They alleged political bias.
The YSRC leaders said that they are still trying to obtain permission, but would go ahead if the TD government refuses to accord it. Mr Mahesh Reddy said that the YSRC leaders decided to conduct the public meeting in SKBR College Grounds on Friday.
The YSRC leaders claimed that there was no law and order problem as the public meeting would be held inside the ground and not on the road. They said that if the police and officials try to stop the meeting, then they will move courts seeking justice.
