Notices to govt on plea by brother of poachgate accused

HYDERABAD: Justice Chillakuru Sumalatha of Telangana High Court on Friday heard an anticipatory bail petition filed by Manilal K.N., estranged brother of Dr Jaggu Swamy, accused in the poachgate case. The court issued notice to the state government and the ACP (investigating officer), Special Investigation Team, directing them to file their response by December 23.

In his affidavit, Manilal informed the court that neither he nor his family members had met Dr Jaggu Swamy in the last 30 years. Despite this, the petitioner had appeared before the SIT twice on being summoned and now apprehended arrest.
