MLC Sabji's death not accident but murder: Family

Kakinada: Family members of PDF MLC Shaik Sabji have alleged that his death in a road accident is actually a murder.

Shaik Abul Kalam Azad, son of Sabji, said some persons had hatched a conspiracy to kill Sabji. He said this is clear from the fact the he car coming in the opposite direction had hit the portion of the vehicle where his father had been sitting.

West Godavari superintendent of police U. Ravi Prakash told Deccan Chronicle that the death is purely due to an accident. An inquest has been conducted on Sabji’s body, which has been handed over to his family members.

Kalla sub-inspector V.S. Veerabhadra Rao said if family members officially express any doubts on Sabji’s death, investigation will be carried out accordingly.
