ADILABAD: The ruling BRS MLAs are busy these days with attempts to boost their public image so as to impress upon Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and get the party ticket for the upcoming assembly polls.

They are visiting villages, and meeting the constituents in the Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, and Nirmal districts.

These MLAs have also intensified their party activities and are promoting the government’s welfare schemes with a new frenzy. They are personally distributing the cheques of the CM relief fund, Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi schemes to the beneficiaries.

BRS MLAs also gave a new round of publicity to the state government's welfare schemes at the Athmeeya Sammelanams in their respective assembly constituencies.

Minister Allola Indrakaran said the BRS government is implementing the welfare schemes in a transparent manner.

Most of the sitting BRS MLAs are visiting interior villages, attending marriage functions and inquiring about the drinking water and other civic problems, if any. Their appearances in these villages were rare in the past.

The MLAs are also visiting paddy purchasing centres and giving confidence to the farmers that their entire stocks, including the rain-soaked paddy, would be purchased at these centres.

Bellampalli MLA Durgan Chinnaiah participated in the launch event for the paddy purchase under PACS in Dharmaraopata in Kasipet mandal on Tuesday.

The sitting MLAs are also promising farmers to pay them government compensation for the crop damage caused by heavy rain two months ago.

The summer being also the season of marriages, the MLAs and ticket aspirants of all major political parties are finding it easy to interact with the people by attending these events without fail.

Some BRS MLAs, who reportedly performed poorly in the party surveys, are making extra efforts to endear the people at least in the last round. Khanapur MLA Rekha Naik is visiting villages, distributing the CM relief fund cheques and speeding up the development works.

Notably, these days, KCR is regularly getting survey reports on the performance of the sitting MLAs, constituency-wise.
