Ambati advises Pawan Kalyan to follow Chiranjeevi

KAKINADA: Water resources minister Ambati Rambabu has advised Jana Sena chief and film star Pawan Kalyan to follow in the footsteps of Mega Star Chiranjeevi, the elder brother of the JS president.

Speaking to reporters in Rajamahendravaram on Friday, he pointed out that after floating his Praja Rajyam Party, Chiranjeevi soon realised that he was not cut out for politics. He then merged Praja Rajyam with Congress. Subsequently, Chiranjeevi became a union minister. But later, he quit politics like a gentleman.

The minister advised the Jana Sena chief to do the same. “Pawan Kalyan is not even able to make up his mind on how many seats he should contest and what role he should play in 2024. Politics is not his cup of tea,” he underlined.

Rambabu felt Pawan Kalyan should quit politics and focus on remaining a good cinema hero.

He maintained that Telugu Desam founder late N.T. Rama Rao is the lone leader of Andhra Pradesh who was a hero in both cinema as well as politics. But the way Pawan Kalyan is acting in politics, he seems like a comedian. He said the Jana Sena president has no understanding of ideology and has not made clear what he wants.

“Pawan should disclose whether he wants to become the chief minister or just wants to step into the assembly,” he remarked.

The minister said it is TD Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu who is controlling Pawan Kalyan and Jana Sena cadres should be cautious about this aspect.

Rajamahendravaram MP M. Bharat was present at the press conference.
